Motor Certifications (Jan 7, 2010)

Post by Thomas Raithby »

Good Afternoon All,

I am pleased to report the certification of five (5) new motors from Cesaroni Technology Inc. The testing session was held on January 7th, 2010. It would appear that Dr. Louwers and associates have found a great way to stave off the Canadian winter chill! Special thanks to Angelo Castellano for attending the (outdoor) session.

A total of fourteen (14) motors were fired, adding new hardware (Pro29-spacer, Pro75-0.7G spacer, Pro75-5.3G case) and a new propellant (Green3). I will leave it to Dr. Louwers to further describe the new propellant.

Certified were the following motors:
• CTI 159-G54-RL-12A (CTI Pro29-3G)
• CTI 298-H159-GR-15A (CTI Pro29-6G)
• CTI 1990-K490-GR-16A (CTI Pro54-5G)
• CTI 6800-M3700-WT-P (CTI Pro75-6G)
• CTI 6287-M2075-SS-P (CTI Pro75-6G)

Congratulations to Cesaroni Technology and Dr. Louwers on these new certifications.

The letters of certification and typical thrust curves will be available shortly on the CanadianRocketry website. Simulation files will be posted as time permits.

Regards,

Tom
